Spring 2027 Apparel Production: Plan Around Lunar New Year.

Holiday 2026 orders are already in motion. The next production window that brands tend to underestimate is Spring 2027, and the reason has a date on the calendar: Lunar New Year (Tết) falls on February 6, 2027.

For apparel brands sourcing from Vietnam, that date matters more than any trend report. Production slows before the holiday, many facilities close for a week or more, and output takes time to ramp back up afterward. A brand that confirms its Spring order in January is not just a few weeks late. It may be starting after the closure.

Why Lunar New Year changes your timeline

  • Workers travel before the holiday. Capacity tightens in the weeks leading up to it.

  • Facilities close. The break is often one to two weeks or longer.

  • Restart is gradual. Materials, staffing, and queues take time to normalize, so orders placed just before the break are often the most exposed.

  • Freight rushes. Brands trying to ship goods out before the closure compete for space.

Work backward from your launch date

Use these planning estimates and add a buffer. Actual timing is confirmed after your sample is approved, because it depends on quantity and product complexity.

Stage Typical planning estimate
Sample approval ~2 week
Production ~1.5 months
QC and packing ~1 week
Sea freight and clearance 3–5 weeks
Air freight and clearance 1.5–2 weeks

If you want Spring goods landing by March, aim to approve samples by early December so production finishes ahead of the holiday. If you already have a complete tech pack, you may be able to skip a full sampling round and save about a week.

What to confirm now

  1. Target launch date. The date goods must be ready to sell, not the date they ship.

  2. Budget per unit. A range is fine. It lets us confirm early whether your product is feasible at that price.

  3. Quantity per style and color. Our minimums start at 150 pieces for womenswear and 200 pieces for most categories.

  4. Tech pack and fabric details. Measurements, materials, trims, and colorways.

  5. Shipping method. Air freight can recover time but changes your landed cost.

If you miss the pre-holiday window

You have two realistic options. Move your launch to a later Spring or early Summer date, or reduce scope: fewer styles, simpler construction, or fewer colorways so the order can move faster. Either choice is better than discovering the delay after you have committed to a launch campaign.

Start the conversation early

The cost of asking early is a few emails. The cost of asking late is a missed season. Send us your tech pack, budget, timeline, and target quantity through our Email or WhatsApp and our team will confirm whether your Spring 2027 plan is realistic.
