What is custom apparel manufacturing?

Custom apparel manufacturing is the process of producing garments built entirely to your specifications — your silhouette, your fabric choice, your construction details — rather than adapting a generic product. It covers everything from a single-style pilot run to a full seasonal collection.

At Agile Apparel Source, custom manufacturing is what we do at every order. As a US-registered LLC with an in-house Vietnam production team, we translate your design brief or tech pack into finished, shelf-ready garments — with no shortcuts in quality and no ambiguity in the contract.

Before any file sharing, we sign a mutual NDA and a US-law production agreement. Your IP is protected from this point forward.

Sign Contract & NDA

We produce a pre-production sample for your approval. Typical turnaround: 7–12 business days after tech pack sign-off.

Sample Production

Upon sample approval, mass production begins. Our QC team monitors every production stage and sends you a full inspection report before shipment.

Mass Production & QC

We handle all export documentation — Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin. Goods are shipped via DHL, FedEx, or sea freight directly to your warehouse.

  • At minimum, we need a design reference (sketch, photo, or reference garment), your target fabric type, colorway, and required quantity. A full tech pack speeds up the process, but we can help you develop one if needed.

  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) means we produce garments to your exact existing design or spec. Yes — if you have an approved sample or detailed tech pack, we replicate it precisely. This is one of our most common order types.

  • Yes. Our team sources and quality-checks all fabrics before production. We'll recommend materials based on your product category, target price point, and performance requirements — and send fabric swatches for your approval before committing.

  • Timeline depends on order complexity. A standard run: sample 7–12 business days → revision and approval → mass production 25–40 business days depending on volume. We'll give you a specific timeline in your quote.

  • Yes. Our MOQ starts at 150 units — accessible for launching brands — and our production capacity scales to 10,000+ units per run for established labels. Same QC standards at every volume.
