Why responsible manufacturing matters — and what we do about it
For EU brands operating under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the incoming Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), supply chain transparency is no longer optional — it is a legal and commercial requirement. Buyers, investors, and regulators are scrutinizing where garments are made, how workers are treated, and what materials are used.
At Agile Apparel Source, we don't claim certifications we don't hold. What we do offer is a manufacturing operation built on responsible practices that are verifiable, documented, and improving:
✓ Fair working conditions at our Vietnam production facility
✓ Fabric sourcing prioritizing lower-impact material options where available
✓ Full production documentation available to clients on request
✓ Waste reduction practices in cutting and finishing operations
✓ No forced or child labor — zero tolerance, documented and verifie
We are transparent about where we are on the sustainability journey. We believe honest, improving practices are more valuable to serious brands than empty certification claims — and we are actively working toward formal certification as our operations scale.
For US brands, Vietnam-manufactured goods also carry the benefit of avoiding the environmental cost of Chinese manufacturing dependency — a factor increasingly raised in ESG reporting frameworks.
Eco-Conscious Material Options
Sustainable fabric options we work with
Made from post-consumer plastic bottles. Performs comparably to virgin polyester in moisture management, durability, and color retention. Available for activewear, outerwear, and lifestyle pieces. Lower carbon footprint than virgin synthetic production.
Recycled Polyester (rPET)
Plant-based fibers produced in a closed-loop process. Soft hand feel, biodegradable, and low water-impact compared to conventional cotton. Ideal for womenswear, loungewear, and premium basics.
Tencel™ & LENZING™ Modal
GOTS-traceable organic cotton available on request. Free from synthetic pesticides and fertilizers in the growing process. Suitable for tees, hoodies, basics, and womenswear. Premium positioning for brands with eco-conscious consumers.
Organic Cotton
Regenerated nylon from ocean waste and industrial offcuts. Comparable performance to virgin nylon in stretch, recovery, and durability. Available for swimwear, activewear, and outerwear lining.
Recycled Nylon (ECONYL®-type)

Manufacturing for EU Brands — Regulatory Context
CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive)
Requires large and mid-sized EU companies to report on sustainability impacts across their supply chain — including their manufacturers. Brands need suppliers who can provide production documentation and practice transparency.
ESPR (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation)
Introduces minimum sustainability requirements for textile products sold in the EU, including durability, repairability, and recycled content requirements. Coming into effect progressively from 2025 onward.
Several EU member states (Germany, France, Netherlands) have enacted supply chain due diligence laws requiring brands to verify working conditions at their manufacturers.
Due Diligence Obligations
How we help:
We provide full production documentation, fabric traceability on request, and are open to third-party social audits. Our US-law contract structure gives EU brands a legally enforceable framework for supply chain accountability — something a direct factory relationship often cannot provide.
Who We Produce For
We work with brands at different stages of their sustainability journey
EU Fashion Brands Under CSRD
Established EU brands that need a manufacturer who can provide supply chain documentation and practice transparency to satisfy reporting requirements. We produce the garments and provide the paperwork.
Sustainable Fashion Startups
New brands building their identity around responsible production. Low MOQ from 150 units makes it viable to launch with eco-conscious materials without the volume commitments typical of sustainable fabric minimums.
US Brands Adding a Sustainable Line
Existing brands launching a conscious collection or transitioning to lower-impact materials. We help you source and produce the right fabrics at the right price — without greenwashing claims you can't back up.

Why Responsible Brands Choose Us
Three reasons to partner with a transparent manufacturer
Honest About Where We Are
We don't claim certifications we don't hold. We are transparent about our current practices and actively working toward formal certification. For brands that value honest supply chain partners over greenwashing, this matters.
Full Documentation on Request
Every order comes with production documentation. Fabric traceability, mill information, and QC records are available on request — giving your compliance and reporting teams what they need.
US Legal Framework for EU Accountability
You contract with a US LLC under US law. For EU brands with due diligence obligations, this gives you a legally enforceable accountability framework — not just a factory relationship with no recourse.
